Written documents remain the most important form of documentation and source of information in many fields of education, research and science. PAR is not only consumer but also producer of such information, and has launched different channels of documentation:

• A data base has been developed to locate own and other literature

• Important PAR working results are being published in classical book format

• seminar reports with mainly student papers are being published as reports

• Audiovisuals diffuse research results directed to non-academic target groups - especially for feedback to the subjects of an investigation project.

• readers contain mostly collections of otherwise published material for teaching and training purposes

• Some works of PAR staff have been published independently or after termination of their period of employment at TUD.

• TRIALOG is the German research journal on planning and building in the South and was founded at the TUD in 1983.
   

Viele aktuelle Informationen finden sich in Fachzeitschriften oder Sammelbänden und sind so über normale Bibliothekskataloge nicht auffindbar. Deshalb unterhält das Fachgebiet PAR eine Datenbank mit fachrelevanten Beiträgen in Zeitschriften (z.B. TRIALOG) und insbesondere Sammelbänden. Gesucht werden kann nach Ländern, Autoren, Themenschwerpunkten oder nach beliebigen Worten im Text.

A Voz de la Mulher Quilombola, Alcântara, M.A. (Brasil)

O video-documentário - A Voz da Mulher Quilombola, faz parte da pesquisa sobre Gênero „Gender - Siedlungsentwicklung in den Quilombos“. Realizada pela Universidade Técnica de Darmstadt- Alemanha, a pesquisa examina a situação sócio-cultural e ecônomica das mulheres quilombolas em três contextos distintos: a vida nas comunidades tradicionais, nas agrovilas e no centro urbano do município de Alcântara, estado do Maranhão. Os 46 min de filme mostram a luta das comunidades pela sobrevivência e melhores condições de vida, além da luta pela preservação dos seus costumes e tradições. As mulheres demonstram através do seu diaa dia, que são elas as protagonistas incansáveis de uma jornada que dura séculos de história no Brasil.
